On The Verge Of Collapse
Virginie Brunelle Company
Friday, August 14, 2026
7:30 PM
A baroque-tinged epic, Sans quoi nous crèverons stands as a bulwark against dehumanization. The commanding, vibrant choreography plunges us into the chaos of a world in tension, opposing alienation with the power of unity, love, and complicity. Between bursts of intensity and exaltation, the work elevates physical exertion as a living language—an act of resistance as much as release. Carried by five performers infused with collective strength, every breath and muscle tremor weaves a deeply human and sensitive thread. Supported by Laurier Rajotte’s ingenious score, the piece resonates like a liberating cry.

Tuesday, August 18, 2026
8:00 PM
We Draw the Line is a visceral and bold dance-theatre work by the Canadian contemporary street dance company 10 Gates Dancing. Directed by Artistic Director Crazy Smooth and choreographer Saxon Fraser, it explores vulnerability, negotiation, power, and resistance through an exceptional cast of street dancers.
CYMATIX takes its name from cymatics (the study of visible sound). Lady C seeks to offer audiences “something they can feel” by seamlessly blending street dance with live and recorded vocals. The work bridges what she perceives as visual interpretations of sound and sonic interpretations of movement, created by Caroline “Lady C” Fraser.
